According to Lao Cai Port Customs, from the holiday period of February 10 to 17, over 14,000 tons of dragon fruit were exported to China via this port.
During the Spring Festival holiday, the port maintained a duty system to ensure convenient conditions for companies to export products to China.
Statistics show that during this period, the total value of exports to China through Lao Cai Port exceeded 11 million U.S. dollars. The import volume reached 7,053 tons, mainly for fertilizers and agricultural products, and the import value reached 2.4 million U.S. dollars. The export volume reached 14,430 tons, mainly for agricultural products, and the export value reached more than 8.8 million US dollars.
Major Ding Guangzheng, head of the border post at Jincheng No. 2 Land International Port of Lao Cai International Port, said that in order to assist companies to participate in import and export activities during the holiday, the unit has maintained a duty system to prevent and control the spread of Covid-19 at the border and meet the needs for import and export.
In 2021, the International Customs Branch of Lao Cai Province will continue to cooperate with relevant departments to intensify administrative reforms toward a more transparent and efficient system, effectively implement electronic customs clearance procedures, reduce the time and cost of handling import and export procedures, and control the spread of the Covid-19 virus.
