Online fruit and veg shopping skyrockets

Harris Farm Markets now delivering goodness to Brisbane

Relax Brisbane, Harris Farm Markets has your fruit and veg needs covered! Not only has the famed champion of farmers returned to Queensland with the opening of their Queensland store in Clayfield, they are now also delivering to doorsteps. So, if the recent lockdown has you worried, or you are simply a fan of online ordering and prefer to skip the queue, visit harrisfarm.com.au and then sit back and wait for the flavour to arrive.

What’s even better, online orders can be delivered the following day!

Co-CEO Angus Harris said online ordering had skyrocketed since the Clayfield store opened. “We have incredible produce ready to go to new homes! Honey Gold mangoes from all over Queensland are in plentiful supply, as are the small-seed, fleshy Lychee variety, the Kwai Pinks from Bundaberg. It’s melon heaven through to the end of March with rockmelons and watermelons at great prices. Egg and Truss tomatoes, cucumbers, corn and coriander are full of flavour and snacking tomatoes are back after a lean few weeks – perfect for prepping for back-to-school lunchboxes. It’s stone fruit season, so nectarines and peaches are juicy and plentiful as well. Customers really are spoilt for choice!”

“Certainly, the ongoing concern about COVID-19 has meant many people prefer to order their fruit and veg online, and we are seeing orders come in from all over greater Brisbane which is a wonderful testament to the city, and it’s love affair with local produce and fresh flavours.”

To make things even easier, there’s ready-made boxes including Dave’s Market Picks (David Harris is the founder of Harris Farm Markets and releases his seasonal update each week, which is then offered as a seasonal box online), the Office Fruit & Snack box and the Pizza Kit box.

All online orders are sustainably packaged in recyclable & reusable boxes made from recycled materials and compostable bio pack bags, with reusable cooler bags for perishables.

What’s even better that the kids can colour-in the fruit and vegetables images on the delivery box and the team have come up with genius ideas for games and craft – create a mini vegetable shop with the box, make a Carmon Miranda hat for Easter, play a colour game by grouping all of the colours, make a fruit alphabet for a bedroom wall or create a mini vegetable patch and stick the vegetables into the patch with Velcro dots. Yes, the boxes are the gift that just keep on giving (see more here)!

Harris Farm Markets opened their Clayfield store in December with the flagship store open in West Village at West End later this year. The two Brisbane stores plus the online offering will feature produce from more than 300 Queensland growers, creators and producers and combined will employ over 200 staff.
