Taha Ibrahima, Olga Fruits:

“In the current context, maritime transport takes a lot of time”

Olga Fruits is a Moroccan company specialized in the export of fresh products, which it ships all over the world. Its main products are citrus fruit, such as clementines, Nadorcott mandarins and oranges, as well as a wide range of Moroccan vegetables.

Taha Ibrahima is one of the two managers of the company. According to him, the biggest challenge at the moment is the transportation by sea. “Transport problems mainly concern the export to the Chinese market and the Arab market, like Qatar and the United Arab States. It takes a lot of time to transport our products. Exports to the Chinese market take 40 days. For the Arab countries, the transport takes between 11 and 25 days.”

Besides citrus fruit, Olga Fruits also offers a wide range of vegetables, such as round or long cherry tomato, Californian and Capia peppers, as well as white pointed peppers.

The products are exported all over the world: to Europe, the Middle East, North America, Russia, Africa and China. In China, Olga Fruits sells oranges and mandarins. Taha adds that Olga Fruits has started exporting to Africa. “Our first market in Africa is Congo, where we already have several partner clients.”
