Bananas have become one of the star ingredients in cosmetics thanks to their enzymatic properties and ability to hydrate and revitalize.
The Spanish cosmetic firm, Varanski Naturals, has devised a line focused on this ingredient, which is a source of minerals (such as phosphorus, zinc, calcium, and magnesium), folic acid, and vitamin B6. One of this brand's outstanding products is their banana and coffee facial scrub (23.90 euro), designed for sensitive and dry skin. This product eliminates dead cells thanks to the coffee extract, which stimulates microcirculation and is a natural anti-inflammatory.
This fruit is also gaining popularity in specialty hair products. The Body Shop, for example, sells a popular vegan banana shampoo (7 euro/250 ml) that is characterized by its nutritional capacity.
Bananas are also present in other products, such as Banana Boat's body oils or suntan lotions (5.53 euro), which stimulates the duration and effect of tanning the skin; Korean brand G9Skin's face masks, which contain milk and banana proteins; or TonyMoly's hand creams (7.95 euros), which soften and strengthen the skin preventing irritations.
