SanLucar published New Dreams magazine

The global premium fruit and vegetable brand SanLucar publishes its annual "Dreams Magazine". Through personal stories, images, infographics and with an emotional design, it illustrates the social and environmental initiatives that SanLucar has implemented at its locations worldwide in year 2019 - 2020.

As part of the Dreams program, SanLucar focuses on social projects in countries such as Costa Rica, Ecuador, Germany, Austria, Spain, South Africa or Tunisia, which benefit the employees, their families and the local community. These include, among others, the renovation of schools in Tunisia and Costa Rica, a tutoring program in Ecuador, as well as several environmental projects such as the reduction of plastic packaging or the commitment to the protection of bees.

"From the very start, we had the dream of growing fruit and vegetables in a way that we can be proud of. To this day, the corporate philosophy "Taste in harmony with man and nature'" is the basis for all our actions," says Stephan Rötzer, founder and owner of the company group.

SanLucar is actively supported in its social projects by partners. For example, they contributed decisively to the purchase of a taxi bus for the residents of the South African farm community Rooihoogte, which is also featured on the cover of the current issue.

The magazine also takes a closer look at the consequences caused by the coronavirus pandemic. "The year 2020 has presented us with special challenges. We had to develop new concepts for many of our ongoing projects almost overnight," explains Jennifer Heer, Communication & CR Director at SanLucar.

"The pandemic created new precarious situations where quick help was needed. For example, when the two solidarity kitchens "El Puchero" in Valencia had to close during lockdown, we had to reconsider and decided to deliver food and hygiene items directly to the doorstep of our visitors. This enabled us to continue supplying around 200 families," Heer continues.

The Dreams magazine in its new design is now available on the company website.

A lot of dreams presented in a new design
Dreams - the name of the Corporate Responsibility Program stands for "Developing Responsible Environments And Multicultural Societies" and fulfills many small and big dreams related to education, sports, nutrition and environmental protection. These projects are portrayed in an attractive design in the new magazine, which is now available for download here or can be found on the SanLucar website.

SanLucar will also publish its progress report for the United Nations Global Compact in summer 2021, providing information on its measures to implement the 10 principles and its contribution to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This report will be based on the criteria of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) standards.
