This morning our first Dutch cucumbers of the season were harvested at Valstar. "This means that - from today - our first cucumbers from traditional cultivation will be available again. Every day, produce can be transported straight from the grower for the shortest possible chain. It couldn't be fresher," says John van Lieshout, who is responsible for the purchasing of cucumbers within Valstar this year: “I'm really looking forward to the new Dutch season. With the start of these good quality cucumbers, I look forward to it positively. "
The cucumbers are available in various sizes and packaging. Customers can opt for a box, but also for the more sustainable option of reusable packaging. The cucumbers can be delivered both naked and sealed. The high-wire cucumbers will also be available in a few weeks. These are grown entirely with geothermal energy and solar panels: 100% “On the way to PlanetProof”.
