Vicente Peris and La Selva plan to launch new combinations of fruit and meat products

Fresh melon with ham is elevated to the gourmet category

Vicente Peris, the agri-food company from Valencia, has renewed its renowned IV-Range product, 'Melon with Serrano Ham', thanks to the incorporation of the La Selva fine delicatessen company. This allows the company to guarantee the high quality of both products and to improve their presentation. From now on, it will have 6 rolls of sliced ham to facilitate its consumption.

La Selva provides Guaranteed Traditional Specialty Serrano ham, exclusively 12-month cured pieces. Vicente Peris uses Piel de Sapo melons from its premium Peris Dolce Melon brand for this product. Peris selects the best melons, peels them, and cuts them into a wedge shape. The size of the melon is big enough to enjoy as a healthy snack, or even as a single dish.

The 'Melon with Serrano Ham' is marketed under two brands, Peris and Frutifresh. It's intended for supermarkets that want to offer their customers high-quality IV-range products, to facilitate their consumption and promote considerable time savings in the recipe preparation process. At present, this product can be found in El Corte Ingles, Hipercor, and Supercor, among other supermarkets.

Vicente Peris and La Selva will collaborate on other products, as they plan to launch new combinations of fruit and meat products that are nutritionally balanced in 2021.

Innovation and food safety in the IV range
Vicente Peris, a company with 77 years of history, incorporated the IV and V range into its production and marketing of first range fruits and vegetables 7 years ago.

Vicente Peris currently works with about a hundred references of IV-Range products. They have different presentations of peeled and chopped melons, watermelons, pomegranates, coconuts, mangoes, pineapples, and orange, among other fruits, which can be found fresh, in syrup, and combined with dried fruit. They also have a line of peeled and cut vegetables in different formats, such as spring onion, pumpkin, white celery, beans, and peas. In the V range, they work with two products exclusively, pumpkin and roasted apple.

The company serves its IV and V range products in 100% recyclable RPET containers, and 70% recycled containers, which contributes to the circular economy, an aspect to which Vicente Peris dedicates efforts and resources.
