January 20-23

Everything's ready for the Digital Agrifood Summit Portugal 2021

The Portuguese agri-food sector will hold the Digital Agrifood Summit Portugal from January 20 to 23, an online event that will put Portuguese producers and exporters in contact with buyers. The event will be held online to face the challenges posed by the pandemic and its goal is to boost Portuguese agri-food exports around the world. The digital initiative, devised by the Portuguese Agrofood Cluster in collaboration with ViniPortugal, has the support of Portugal's State Secretariat for Internationalization, the country's Ministry of Agriculture, AICEP (Aicep Portugal Global - Portuguese Trade and Investment Agency), and FIPA ( Federation of Portuguese Agro-Food Industries).

This digital event has been very well received by the Portuguese agri-food sector; 74 companies will exhibit their products in this first edition. They will showcase products that represent the entire Portuguese geography and the great variety of its agri-food offer: wines, olive oils, fine confectionery, cheeses and sausages, meat and fish, fruits and vegetables, as well as an endless number of processed foods. The companies participating in the event combine tradition and innovation in their wide catalog of products.

Portugal thus continues to advance towards the digital economy. The country expects that by the end of 2021 Portuguese companies will increase their investment in Industry 4.0 by up to 16 percentage points. In addition, 50% of companies expect to increase their exports and their business volume by 5 to 15%.

Buyers interested in expanding their catalog with Portuguese products still have time to participate. They only need to register, quickly and for free, via the following link https://bit.ly/DASP2021. It will generate an access code with which buyers can access the platform on January 20 to visit the virtual stands and meet with the exhibiting companies. A whole world to discover, now at your fingertips and at the click of a button.
