In its January Citrus Forecast, the USDA shows how all Florida orange production is down 4% from the December forecast. Non-Valencia oranges had a forecast production of 22 mln boxes, but this has been adjusted to 20 mln boxes in January.
The Florida Valencia orange production forecast remains unchanged at 34 mln boxes, while the grapefruit production has gone up 5%. Also unchanged are the forecasts for Florida tangerine and tangelo production.
