For the company Contec, 2021 will be a year marked by innovation. Indeed, an innovative system for creating artificial rain is being developed and new subsidiaries will be opened. Contec started out as a manufacturer of prestressed concrete transmission poles, but in the meantime it has grown into a global company and works with the best companies to offer turnkey solutions.
System to obtain artificial rain
"Issues such as climate change, crop protection and water-saving irritation are of global importance. We recently worked with Floppy sprinklers, which we merged with our poles. This will enable us to produce artificial rains, which can be used for many crops in different areas, also of greater extent. The video below, filmed in a desert of Abu Dhabi, shows how it works," said Mataoui.
This system saves 17% of the water, increases the efficiency by 24% and 89% of the irrigation is fully absorbed by the crop. The working pressure is only 2 bar.
