Four tractor-trailers were damaged and one firefighter was taken to the hospital last Thursday after a fire at a truck stop near I-95. Fire officials said one of the trailers was loaded with boxed vegetables, and another contained 4,000 pounds of bleach.
A post on the Milford Fire Department Facebook page said: “While units were en-route to the scene, they could see the heavy black smoke coming from the area.”

Crews found two tractor trailers on fire near two other trucks, with diesel fuel contributing to the blaze. Firefighters used hoses and foam to contain the fire and knock it down.
Paramedics later took one of the firefighters to Milford Hospital in ‘stable’ condition the post said. Officials are investigating what led to the blaze.
