Last week, Yidu Group was awarded in Beijing the gold medal of the Chinese online retail chain JD.com's Gold List awards in the cherry category for the quality, safety, and security of its cherries imported from Chile.
The Gold List is based on five main points: sales, growth, customer reviews, brand power, and popularity, and is drawn from a pool of more than 100 million products on its website. The ceremony was attended by industry quality inspection organizations, and major media outlets, among other people. The judging panel was comprised of key industry opinion leaders, who selected the award-winning products on behalf of consumers and the marketplace.
The first company in China to import cherries
Founded in 1988, Yidu is China's leading manager and service provider for the fresh food supply chain. They were also the first company in China to import cherries. Yidu overseas branches and its domestic produce teams work with local producers to carry out strict quality control at the source.
Currently, Yidu Group has branches in various countries and mainly deals with fruit and meat products. Brands under the Yidu label include Yidu, Truenjoy, and CHICHI.
The company has achieved its goal of establishing a national cold chain production logistics network, using major ports in China. The current design includes the ports of Dalian and Shenyang (covering the northeast), the distribution center of Zhengzhou airport (central China), and the distribution center of Guangzhou (south). Using large-scale comprehensive distribution centers with access to both seaports and airports, Yidu is gradually building a nationwide cold chain logistics network with a view to becoming China's leading fresh food service provider.
