The Cool Carriers shipping company, which specializes in the global transport of perishable fruit and is represented in Peru by Green Andes, announced the arrival of new, more modern refrigerated ships to the port of Paita. Nikolay Pavlyuchenko, a representative of the shipping company in the region, said the company would use these ships, which were built in Japan, to offer a refrigerated cargo transportation service to Northern Europe and Russia.
Green Andes' commercial manager, Fernando Saona, said this service would benefit customers as it would have a faster transit time to destinations in Europe. It will be a direct service, without transshipment, that will deliver the fruit to northern Europe and Russia in 15 and 20 days, respectively. The shipping company stated that the ship would arrive at the ports of Rotterdam and Saint Petersburg exclusively through an express service.
"Agro-exporters will be able to offer a longer shelf life for their products, achieving higher placements, more predictable sales, greater customer satisfaction, consolidating the excellent image of Peru's perishable products and Peruvian agricultural exporters, who are regarded as safe and reliable suppliers in the international markets," Saona said.
