UGT and CC. OO maintain the strike in the Valencian citrus stores after mediation without an agreement

The UGT and CC. OO. unions have issued a joint statement declaring that, since no agreement was reached in this Thursday's mediation, they would carry out the strike in the citrus stores as planned. The strike, which aims at achieving a dignified agreement and in protest against the number of working hours, will be held from December 14 to 20.

The unions stated that they have told authorities that employers have pressured temporary work personnel to find out if they support the strike.

The strike is called against the deregulation of the working day in citrus stores after employers expressed in the negotiation of the agreement for the handling and packaging of citrus fruits of the Valencian Community that it will continue to be mandatory to work eight hours a day from Monday to Saturday or nine hours a day from Monday to Friday.
