Charles Couralet, of Les Jardins d'Aquitaine; an adapted company:

"Our new brand will allow us to put our solidarity management under the spotlight"

The winter vegetable season is in full swing and Les Jardins d'Aquitaine, a company specialized in ready-to-eat products, is working at full capacity. The flagship products of the moment are pumpkin pieces, sliced butternut, leek white and ready-to-eat products like pot-au-feu, soup or vegetables for soup.

Cœur de Jardin
Les Jardins d'Aquitaine is an adapted company, meaning that most of its employees are people with disabilities. The company is a member of the Association of Adapted Enterprises (Apiha), which brings five companies together. The goal of Apiha is to become the number one nursery in terms of professional inclusion in Lot-et-Garonne. By 2021, the group will introduce its own brand "Cœur de Jardin". "This brand will enable us to put our social and solidarity management under the spotlight," says Charles Couralet, of Les Jardins d'Aquitaine. "We will offer information about our group directly on the tray in order to improve our reputation with the end consumer."

Activity
At present, despite the health crisis, Les Jardins d'Aquitaine remains focused on trade and its 80 employees are ready to meet all customer orders. "We had a very good month of October, with high consumption. Despite the lockdown, we continue supplying our products as expected. From December onwards, we will make fruit baskets for the festive season which ensure a good commercial dynamic."

In 2021 and 2022, Apiha wishes to open new markets in France in order to continue developing in terms of social integration.
