Nitro Power Shock (NPS) is the device developed by Checchi&Magli to adapt transplanters working on clay, hard or compact soils. Clay soils are usually fertile, although they tend to compact making soil preparation harder. Nitro Power Shock (NPS) has the objective of guaranteeing an increased pressure on the hilling wheels of each transplanting element.
"It is a well-known fact that hilling presents various agronomic advantages - it preserves soil humidity, enables a better absorption of water and nutrients, protects plantlets from the cold and favors rooting and an improved root development. There are different types of transplanters that can be equipped with the NPS system."

The pressure exerted on the wheels is independent for each transplant unit with a parallel system. The pressure regulation range is between 5 and 100 bar, which is equal to an increased compactation of up to 60%.
Unit oscillation via the dual-articulation parallelograms is guaranteed by a nitrogen hydro-penumatic accumulator. The extreme compactness and simplicity of the system means it can be applied also to machines already in service.
