Aztec Fruits sets foot on the European market

The Mexican producer / exporter group working under the name Aztec Fruits opened their sales representative office in Belgium some months ago.

The aim for this producer consortium is to expand their markets in Europe and in Asia. In this group are producers of Mango, Avocado, Limes, Figs and exotic vegetables. The office in Belgium is coordinating the imports in Europe and is building steadily on a client base in the various countries.

After a short but successful program of Mango by air, now it is the time to focus the Hass avocado coming from the Jalisco and Michoacán states. Mexico as one of the largest producers of Avocado in the world, is the main supplier for the USA market, but with the better and shorter sea freight connections also Europe comes in a better reach for quality arrivals.

A good inroad to the market was made in the last month when the market was rather short and quite big volumes could be imported by air. The last week’s container arrivals continued the steady supply from Aztec Fruits. The production coming from the farms in various regions makes that almost all year round Hass avocado can be available.

In the coming months more products will be added to the portfolio of Aztec Fruits in Belgium; Fresh Figs will be available from the end of November.
