The Central Administration for Agricultural Quarantine stated that onion exports recorded this year until November 4, 370,512 tons to be the third most exported crop by Egypt following citrus and potato, respectively.
In a similar context, Egypt ranked third globally in 2019 in the exports of dried onion with a total of 13.6 tons.
The Egyptian onion exports in 2019 reached $ 30.4 million, representing 8.1% of the total global exports of dried onions in 2019, according to data released by the UN's International Trade Center (ITC).

The administration affiliated to the Ministry of Agriculture and Land Reclamation pointed out that the exports of grapes, garlic, strawberry, grenade, and green beans rose by 10-30 percent in 2020 compared to 2019.
