Müller Transporte LLC is investing 10 million euros in a new logistics center at its existing company site in Wiener Neudorf. With a photovoltaic system, green roofs, company restaurant and rest rooms for drivers, the investments are particularly sustainable. The foundation stone was laid on November 5, 2020, together with the mayor of Wiener Neudorf, Herbert Janschka. The completion of the project is planned for summer 2021.

The new logistics center, which is scheduled for completion by summer 2021, includes a cold store with 4,500 m² for vegetables and other fresh produce, as well as 30 loading ramps - 15 for trucks and another 15 for smaller delivery vehicles. With the commissioning of the new logistics center, the location in the neighboring community of Biedermannsdorf can be closed down and merged with Wiener Neudorf. This will save a total of 9,000 trips per year between the two previous locations. This not only improves the time management of drivers, but also relieves the residents as well as the traffic on the A2 freeway between the Mödling and Wiener Neudorf junctions. This leads to a CO2 reduction of 150 tons per year compared to the previous situation.
