South Africa: Water levels in Mpumalanga reservoirs declining

Water levels in the listed dams and catchment areas in the Mpumalanga Province continue to drop despite some recent rainfall.

According to the Department of Water and Sanitation (DWS) weekly state of reservoirs report of 02 November 2020, the average water levels in the listed dams in the Mpumalanga Province further dropped from last week's 64.9% to 64.2% meaning there is 1630.2 cubic meters of water out of the required 2538.6 cubic meters.

In as much as the water levels continue to drop in the listed dams in the Mpumalanga Province, the current situation is better than the 57.2% recorded during the same period last year.
