Aweta installs an apple sorting and packaging line in Chile

The apples of Southern Chile are waiting for news. In the Unifrutti plant in Linares (total storage capacity 25,658 m2), the installation of a modern Aweta line for sorting and packaging is underway. The line will have a sorting capacity of 60 bins / hour and a packing capacity of 28 t/h.

" We proudly give you a look behind the scenes and see the first installation phase of this system full of interesting features. This line is designed tailor-made for Unifrutti’s needs and manufactured as a modular construction."

"In the photos, you can see the positioning of a grader Calistar (8 lines, 70 outputs): the beating heart of the plant. In particular, the detail of the fruit carriers: the grader clamps that makes the fruit travel upside down. It sounds bizarre, but it has its advantages: clean mechanical, electrical and electronic components, designed all above the floor, direct feeding from water, no transfers so extremely fruit friendly, and in addition it is incomparably quiet"

"Investment profitability depends on calibration combined with quality sorting, but we will talk about this in the next episode!"
