The volume of Tajikistan's agricultural product exports from the beginning of the year to the beginning of the third week of October has increased by 41.7% in terms of volume (or 35.4 thousand tons) and by 47.4% in terms of value (+$ 5.5 million) compared to the same period in 2019, reports the Ministry of Agriculture of the republic.
According to this source, as of October 21 of this year, Tajikistan had exported just over 120.4 thousand tons of agricultural products worth over $ 17.1 million.
According to the Ministry, during this period, more than 90.8 thousand tons of vegetables have been exported, including 90.2 thousand tons of onions, as well as 12.1 thousand tons of fruits, 95 tons of melons, more than 15.4 tons of dried fruits and 1.9 thousand tons of other types of agricultural products.
It is also noted that as of October 23, 2020, according to operational data, the country harvested 243.2 thousand tons of fruits, which is more than 93.8 tons more than in the same period last year.
To date, more than 91 thousand tons of grapes have been harvested, with 31.1 thousand tons in the Sughd region and more than 26.7 thousand tons in the Khatlon region.
