"Customized transport plan for your temperature-controlled goods within 30 mins"

An extra shipment of mangos needs to be sent quickly. A Scandinavian client suddenly wants another entire load of flowers and plants. Or a pallet of garlic has to be flown to the Netherlands. "No problem at all for us," says Rick van t'Hag of the Dutch company, Cargorilla Logistics. "As a forwarding agent, we can arrange the right kind of transportation anywhere in the world. Also for temperature-controlled transport of fruit and vegetables."

Cargorilla Logistics is a young company. It was founded in 2016 and is part of the Twentepoort Group. This group also includes Twentrex and TwenPack. The company is located in Wierden, the Netherlands, near the German border. It's an ideal location, according to Rick. It's the gateway to Germany and Eastern Europe. "General cargo is our most important logistics branch. But we can also provide temperature-controlled transport for fresh vegetables, fruit, flowers, and plants."

"The company has proven itself in this market, especially when it comes to rush orders. We often see how the fruit and vegetable seasons progress. For example, when Spain comes back on the market with the oranges, inquiries from importers often increase. We can cool or warm cargo to a temperature of -35 or +35°C. We can provide temperature registrations too," says Rick. He points out that Cargorilla's youthful dynamic makes a difference in the market.

"We know about logistics and customs formalities. We're also personally involved and have years of logistics experience. That's what distinguishes us. No matter how complex the logistics issue is, we don't shy away from a challenge. When clients approach us, we try to map out their exact requirements very clearly. Then we get back to them, usually within 30 mins. We'll have a comprehensive customized proposal of how we can take optimal care of their cargo."

"Take, for instance, the garlic importer. We take care of the local (urgent) transport in China to the airport. That same day, the pallet is on the plane. Two days later, the fresh garlic is in the client's warehouse," Van t'Hag explains. "Results are also quick, which is great when you work with perishable goods and just-in-time deliveries. We understand our clients' specific needs and strive to meet the best expectations. Our motto is 'a deal is a deal'."

Rick also mentions that the Cargorilla Logistics network is beneficial for Eastern European fruit and vegetable traders. "The Twentepoort group was originally a freight forwarder that was highly specialized in transportation to Eastern Europe. We have the necessary connections with transporters there. They make daily trips with fruit and vegetables between Poland and the Netherlands, for example. So, we know that market well, which has its advantages," he concludes.
