Filosofo Navelina off to an early start at Dutch wholesaler

Pedro Aranda usually begins exporting Navelinas from Spain in about week 46. "So, we were pleasantly surprised with the first arrival last week. It includes some 10kg packs of anniversary packaging. These are nicely colored products with an acceptable Brix level. We also got Navelina in the traditional 15kg packs. There are still few of these, but the fruits are large," says Ronnie Moorman of Willem Dijk AGF, in the Netherlands.

"Last week, we started having issues with the South African oranges. So, this matches the excellent demand very well. We also received the first Filosofo limes. And some premium but delicious Oronule leaf clementines. They came in open-top 8kg boxes. We've had plenty of Okitsu/satsuma and Filosofo clementines in recent weeks. And there's good demand, even from Germany," concludes Willem.
