The 16th edition of the National Symposium on Plant Health, the leading event on plant health in Spain, organized by the Official College of Agricultural Technical Engineers of Western Andalusia (COITAND) every two years, and which was to take place from 27 to January 29, 2021 in Seville, has been postponed to January 2022 due to the current health situation.
The Organizing Committee wanted to thank the sponsors and usual partners for the "support" received to the decision to postpone this new edition. The Symposium is "a place for one-on-one meetings between professionals in the sector; a place to feel we are in the same place, and that is why we have decided that the best thing for everyone is to postpone it and see each other with more enthusiasm and full of health in 2022," said the organization through a press release.
"In this period, the plant health sector has shown that it plays a key role and that it will continue to do so; that it has new challenges for a future that we want to be increasingly safe and sustainable. The duty of everyone involved in plant health is to guarantee the safety and reliability of food. We maintain our commitment to pursuing a better world with our mission, which is none other than to produce food," said the COITAND.
