The Maraldi Sementi lamb lettuce selection has now been enriched with two new varieties, Matisse and Dalì, in addition to the existing Mirò and Excel. The assortment consists of a varietal selection based on the production season, by crop cycle and phenotypic qualities.
The two new varieties are the result of Maraldi Sementi's research activity, carried out entirely in Italy, which has led to the selection of varieties particularly suitable for cultivation in the areas of northern Italy and central and southern Italy (Campania, Lazio).

Maraldi Sementi has introduced Mirò for the autumn-winter cycle, together with the newest Dalì that has an earlier cycle and therefore suitable for mid-winter. Excel remains the best option for the spring-summer sowings, while the new entry Matisse is perfect for summer.
Below are the specifications for each product.
MIRO'. Well-established on the market, it is an autumn-winter variety, with medium sized cotyledons and intense dark green leaves, defined by a thick fleshy appearance and marked veining. The medium-long stalk and its vertical shape guarantee an excellent product at harvest.
Mirò variety
DALÌ is a variety with a very early cycle, which grows vigorously under conditions of very short daylight and low temperatures. Its cotyledons have a good resistance to yellowing, bright green leaves, elongated oval, with an upward shape. For strictly winter sowing.
EXCEL, a variety that best expresses its distinctive features in spring and summer sowing. It has a very turgid fleshy leaf, with a marked dark green veining, excellent germination even at high temperatures.
Matisse variety
MATISSE, an elegant small plant characterized by thick dark green leaves, and small to medium sized cotyledons. Its shape and compact size guarantee a product of exceptional quality, ideal for the summer period.
