The Wm. G. Roe & Sons Inc. family of companies (d.b.a. Noble Worldwide) announced the hiring of Darrell Jensen as their new CEO. Charlie Soule, current CEO and long-time advisor to the company, has elected to step back from daily operations while continuing to serve as a consultant and member of the Board of Directors. Bill Roe and Quentin Roe will continue in their roles as VP and President respectively. No other changes in the organization’s leadership are anticipated.
April Roe Porter, Chair of the Board of Directors said about the new CEO: “Darrell is a wonderful fit for our organization – his expertise in organizational management, finance and accounting, and strategic vision will serve the company well. He is joining us at an exciting time as we continue to significantly expand the planted acreage and market presence of our new proprietary tangerine varieties.”

Wm. G. Roe & Sons Inc. operates a citrus and blueberry packing and marketing organization in Winter Haven, FL. The organization has been operating in the same location for 95 years and is best known for its tangerine business, which annually ranks first in the State of Florida. According to Quentin Roe, “the time has come for the organization to transition from being family run to family owned.” The Company currently has 11 members of the 3rd and 4th generations working in various capacities throughout the business. According to Bill Roe: “that’s all the reason we need to bring in an outside CEO, but additionally Darrell brings with him a wealth of family business experience across several disciplines, and will be a perfect fit to help us take advantage of the opportunities which lie in front of us.”
