Carrefour has announced that it will increase its purchases of Spanish apples by 25%

The supermarket chain Carrefour has issued a statement outlining its plans to increase its purchases of apples grown in Spain by 25% compared to last year, thereby bringing the total volume purchased to 4,100 tons.

The apples purchased by Carrefour will come from the regions of Catalonia, La Rioja, Aragon and Castile-Leon, with up to 14 different product references. The company has suppliers such as Nufri, an agrarian transformation company that has 1,000 hectares of its own fields devoted to apple cultivation in Soria and the Pla d'Urgell region, in Lleida, or the Aragonese Interlázaro, which employs more than 400 families.
