Fruit Attraction LIVEConnect, the networking-space which will serve to host conferences, sessions and seminars related to the fruit and vegetable sector, and which will be held throughout an entire month, is starting on October 1.
The conference "Technological challenges at the service of the containers and packaging for fruits and vegetables of the future", organized by Packnet (Spanish Technological Platform for Containers and Packaging), is taking place on Friday, October 2, at noon.
In this conference, issues that directly affect the packaging of this type of products will be discussed in detail, addressing issues that will revolve around how innovation in packaging leads to improvements in the product's preservation and the extension of its shelf life, thus minimizing food waste. It will also delve into trends in packaging design, taking into account factors such as ecodesign, sustainability, food safety, new materials, etc., as well as the impact of new packaging on the efficiency of logistics processes in the fruit and vegetable sector: cost optimization and improved traceability.
The sessions will be moderated by Belén García, director of Packnet, and will feature Juan Felipe Vicente Hernandez, managing director at Polymer Logistics, and Leonor Pascual, Project Manager at AINIA.
