David Archer, Condifresh:

“Our label family is growing, with the arrival of the HEV label on our onion plots”

September 2020 will have marked a turning point for the Condifresh group, which obtained the HEV level 3 certification for its own onion production, on its plots in the Gâtinais. “Obtaining this label is in line with our commitment to agroecology and sustainable development. We are working on several projects in this direction. As a reminder, we were pioneers in terms of agro-ecological development through our Nature range, marketed under the Zero Pesticide Residue label since October 2017,” explains David Archer, category manager at Condifresh.

According to David, sustainable development has long been a real development axis for the company. “We are also working on other projects such as the reduction of plastic in our packaging. By the end of the year, we will sell part of our products in 100% biodegradable packaging.”

As for this year’s harvest, David is rather satisfied. “We are almost done uprooting. We are now able to see that we are experiencing a normal year in terms of quality and calibers, the only downside being the yields impacted by drought and heat.”
