According to the State Statistics Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan in January-August 2020, the volume of exports of fruits and vegetables amounted to 979.800 tonnes and in value terms exceeded US$595.6 million (the rate of decline compared to the same period in 2019 years accounted for 31.5%).
About 558,800 tonnes of vegetables were exported (amounting to US$235.1 million), as well as 257,900 tonnes of fruits and berries for US$249.1 million 34.4% and 18.6%). The share of fruits and vegetables in total exports was 5.1%.
The largest volume in value terms of exports of fruit and vegetable products traditionally falls on Kazakhstan (29.3% of the total volume of fruit and vegetable products), the Russian Federation (28.4%) and Kyrgyzstan (18.7%).
