Prickly pear production down in Kasserine

The prickly pear production in the governorate of Kasserine, in central-western Tunisia, has reached 200,000 tons in the agricultural season 2019-2020, against 250,000 tons recorded in previous years, down 50,000 tons.

The total area of prickly pear in the region reached 100,000 hectares out of a total of 600,000 hectares on the national level, according to expert to the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO).
