"Over 40% of our grapes have already been harvested. The campaign started in late July and we believe it might continue until mid-October. We own 21 hectares of seedless grapes, both white and black, of the Autumn King, Cotton Candy, Crimson, Sweet Sapphire and Sweet Celebration varieties," explains Mariella Pinto, owner of Agri Taras, a company specializing in viticulture located in Palagianello, in the Taranto province.

"The season is much better than last year when it comes to both quantity (25-30% increase in volumes) and quality, with larger grapes and a higher sugar content."
Crimson variety.
"Our vineyards are managed with innovative agronomic techniques to obtain produce with low residue made available in different packaging formats. We work with an external company for commercialization, which distributes the grapes not only in most European countries, but in Arab ones as well where the Cotton Candy variety seems to be particularly popular."
Sweet Celebration variety
"So far, the pandemic does not seem to have affected sales. Orders are coming in and interest for Italian productions is on the up."
