"Optimal properties for product storage and presentation"

Enza Zaden offers new TOV E 15M.41641 from next season onwards

Enza Zaden offers a new tomato on the vine in the 100-115 g segment for the coming season, with variety E15M.41641. After a two-year test phase on Central European farms, E15M.41641 has proven its suitability for cultivation under a wide range of conditions. During the test phase, it showed positive characteristics for both producers and the food trade. Due to the good results E15M.41641 is now commercially available.

Producers praised the good homogeneity of the plant material, the open structure and the workability of E15M.41641. Even after hot summer days, the variety is still strong enough to produce a product of very good quality in the last third of the season, which can be offered to the trade.

Product storage and product presentation
For the food trade, properties that are important for product storage and product presentation must be emphasized. The new tomato variety always produces flat panicles with six fruits in an attractive shiny dark red fruit color, which does not change on the way to the counter. The variety performed particularly well in the shelf-life tests. Here, E15M.41641 sets new standards; the sepals and panicle stems show no signs of wear whatsoever, even when transported over long distances.
