Fruit importer, BB Fruit, has relocated from the Rotterdam wholesale market. The company moved to 40 Handelsweg 40 in Ridderkerk, still in the Netherlands. The wholesale company, Saphir, used to be housed at that address. BB Fruit will resume business on Tuesday, 1 September. A new partner, BroomFrio, will join them.
"Considering the Rotterdam wholesale market's upcoming renovations and plans for the future, we thought this was the right time to move," says Bart Peek. He co-owns BB Fruit with Ben van der Bom. "We decided on Barendrecht. That's a more favorable location for us. As an importer, we can continue our activities there."
"We went looking for a new service provision partner. We found our way to the people at BroomFrio. We wanted easily accessible premises. Our clients had to be able to simply see the warehoused products. We found that here. We moved into the new building over the weekend. On Tuesday, 1 September, we'll reopen our doors. We'll have new offices, a new warehouse, and new people. That means new opportunities, but with the time-tested hospitality and service," concludes Bart.
