Refrigerated warehouses in China begin to export garlic in bulk

The summer harvest of Chinese garlic is already finished. The season did not last as long as in previous years. Looking back on this season, however, the export conditions turned out alright. The price fluctuated, but the overall export volume is larger than last year. Overseas purchases continue uninterrupted and market demand exceeds market supply.

Overseas traders offload a truck of Chinese garlic

"The supply season of fresh summer garlic is over and the supply of garlic from refrigerated storage is growing. There are still many visiting traders who were unable to purchase sufficient stock. The supply of garlic from refrigerated warehouses meets this demand." This is according to Annie Chen, Sales Manager at Jining Fenduni Foodstuff Co., Ltd.

"The volume of garlic in storage is still quite large. The price of garlic form refrigerated storage is not that high. Looking at the overseas order volume, many overseas traders consider Chinese garlic an excellent product because the supply is stable and the product quality is great. They also consider the current price reasonable. That is why the market proceeds smoothly."

Garlic

"I think the sales conditions will remain excellent in the coming weeks. There is no difference in product quality between fresh summer garlic and garlic from refrigerated storage. The garlic is only entered into storage to prevent the garlic from sprouting. When summer garlic leaves the market, garlic from refrigerated storage takes over."
