Naturipe Snacks responds with new snack line

Consumers ask for new ways to eat berries on-the-go

Driven by the increased desire consumers have for well-balanced, healthier ready-to-eat snacks, Naturipe introduced Naturipe Snacks™ a few years ago. “This summer, we rebranded the original snacks line to better align with our corporate rebrand as Boost Bentos™ and expanded the line with Bliss Bentos™,” says CarrieAnn Arias, VP of Marketing with Naturipe Farms. The Bentos snacks combine a variety of specialty ingredients with farm-fresh berries in a ready-to-eat, portable container. “The added fruit not only brings a boost of nutrients to the snacks, but it also takes the flavors to a whole other level of deliciousness,” commented Arias.


Consumers sought new way to eat berries on the go
“The rebrand was driven by consumer research that showed consumers sought a fresh, new way to eat our berries on the go,” continued Arias. “With the mix of tasty, nutritious, and even sweet flavors, our Boost Bentos™ and Bliss Bentos™ are sure to impress. The Boost Bentos implies a “boost” in energy provided by the ingredients in this product for a nutrient-rich and satisfying snack. The Bliss Bentos implies the pure happiness or “bliss” the combination of ingredients this product brings for a balanced yet indulgent snack.”

Pairing fruit and savory snacks
How does the snack line complement Naturipe’s fresh fruit products? “Boost and Bliss Bentos offer another convenient way berry-lovers can enjoy our fresh and flavorful blueberries, strawberries, and grapes,” says Steve Ware Vice President and General Manager of Naturipe Value Added Fresh. “These creative snacks show consumers our fruit can be enjoyed alongside other foods and will bring a delightful depth of flavor when paired with granolas, nuts, cheeses, and a variety of other specialty ingredients.”

The fruit for Naturipe Snacks™ is sourced from the company’s very own family of growers and farms. The other ingredients are sourced from several valuable specialty ingredient partners including nuts, cheese, and granola makers. “To ensure we provide our consumers with quality ingredients, we strategically pick our partnerships with companies that have the same values and high standards as Naturipe Snacks™. We wanted to take some of the classic ingredients our customers know and love and put a fun twist on them by mixing and matching flavors from chocolate-covered chickpeas to flavor-blasted almonds,” shared Ware.
