Exhibition duo expoSE/expoDirekt celebrates planned anniversary until further notice

Seizing opportunities with "Corona Ordinance Trade Fairs" and infection protection concepts

With the "Corona Ordinance on Trade Fairs", which was passed on 14 July 2020 by the state government of Baden-Württemberg, the situation for trade fair duo expoSE and expoDirekt has now become clear. The Karlsruhe Trade Fair Centre had already worked in close
Coordination with the Association of South German Asparagus and Strawberry Growers (VSSE), organiser of the trade fair duo, has developed an infection protection concept, providing a comprehensive overview of the infection protection and hygiene measures to be observed.

More opportunities than risks
Due to the still pending general conditions, some exhibitors are still hesitating with their registration, so that at the moment somewhat fewer exhibitors have registered: 251 to be precise. "We see more opportunities than risks for the exhibitions event. Because this exceptional season has gone better than expected for most growers. We can easily meet the Corona requirements for trade fair organisers, such as 7 m2 per person for the total exhibition area. As organisers, we also bear the risk if the trade fair duo cannot take place due to a second Corona wave," said Simon Schumacher, spokesman of the
Association of South German Asparagus and Strawberry Growers (VSSE) and organizer of the trade fair duo.

The well-known infection protection regulations such as the 1.5-metre distance regulation and the wearing of mouth-nose covers in closed rooms also apply if the minimum distance is not given. Visitors are required to register online in advance of the trade fair duo. Furthermore, the aisles in the exhibition halls will be at least three metres wide.

In addition, expoSE is celebrating its 25th and expoDirekt its 10th anniversary this year. Corona will not be holding a celebration, but all trade visitors under 25 years of age receive free admission to the trade fair duo on this occasion.
