Good blueberry size and quality in western and southwestern parts

Michigan growers received much-needed rainfall last week

Many Michigan fields received much-needed rainfall last week.  As of Sunday, corn and soybean fields started to show some improvement due to the precipitation.

Fruit harvesting continues across the state.  Tart cherry harvesting wrapped up in the Southwest and began in the Northwest.  There were reports of good blueberry size and quality in the western and southwestern parts of the state.  USDA reporters say apples are about 30 millimeters and sizing quickly.
