The company Cofruly has been offering Red Globe grapes from Sicily for over twenty years, in partnership with the company GB Italia, among others. “We chose this table grape variety because it is a very good product in terms of taste. Consumers love it. At the beginning of the campaign, the grapes have a light pink color. From September, it becomes darker, purplish red, and very sweet. We already have a sugar level of 17.5° Brix while the minimum threshold is 13° Brix. This promises a nice campaign,” explains Christian Berthe, chairman and CEO of Cofruly.
This year, the first Red Globe grapes were available on July 20th at Cofruly. “From the 15th of August, we expect to have good production volumes and a very nice quality. The campaign will last until December, depending on the weather conditions.”
