"Chinese early crispy pears available with lower prices"

“This year’s early crispy pears from Pucheng have hit the market in early July and the production season is expected to last through to early August. The current purchase price is about 0.80 yuan per half a kilo, which is 55-70% lower than that of 1.80 to 2.50 yuan seen in the same period of last year,” Cui Minghui of the Fuping County Manshanhong Family Farm shared.

"Although the production of early crispy pears in Pucheng this season is lower compared to last season due to adverse weather, prices have not risen but rather fallen. The main reason for this is the Covid-19 pandemic, which not only brought inconvenient logistics but also lower consumer buying power."

“We have a total planted area of 100,000 mu and are able to supply about 60,000 kilos of early crispy pears daily. Currently, we market our products across China through traditional sales models and e-commerce platforms in cartons of 10 kilos, and delivery boxes of 5 kilos and 2.5 kilos. In view of the current situation, we are focusing on e-commerce. We welcome customers who have purchasing needs to contact me."
