Colombia opts for Chilean top fruit

Food of Chilean origin is commonly found in the Colombian family basket. The Chilean food exports to Colombia are led by their fruits. Chile's fresh apples lead exports to Colombia with 67 million dollars in 2019. They are followed by fresh pears with 21 million dollars, fresh grapes with $ 7.03 million, and kiwis with $ 3.94 million.

ProChile, together with the Asifrut guild, will develop a promotional campaign in digital media to continue bringing Colombian consumers closer to Chilean fruit products and to reinforce their nutritional attributes and the generation of responsible consumption habits, especially in the midst of the current health crisis.

The promotional campaign will be broadcast on social networks and on the related brands' media outlets. There, experts will give consumers informative content on the benefits of habitual fruit consumption. There will also be different activities, such as easy healthy cooking contests with renowned chefs and influencers from the local food scene.
