Ukrainian apricots have become the cheapest fruit of domestic production as of July 1 as their price is UAH 30 (over US$1.1) per kilogram. Ukrainian TSN TV news service reported that apples on the market cost UAH 40 (US$1.4) per kg, and seasonal black cherries are going for almost UAH 60 (US$2.2) per kilogram. Meanwhile, strawberries have slightly fallen in price to UAH 39 (US$1.46), losing almost 27% of their value.
"Raspberries and blackberries are breaking all price records. It's definitely not worth buying the berries for making jam since their average price is UAH 95 (US$3.56) and UAH 155 (US$5.81) per kilogram, respectively."
According to uazmi.com, the current prices of fruits and berries are at a record high, despite it being the peak season.
