The orange orchards of Zigui in Hubei are located in the Three Gorges area. The orchards mainly cultivate Navel oranges, Jin oranges, Taoxie oranges, and Summer oranges. This is the Chinese "hometown of oranges". The weather conditions in Zigui are uniquely suitable for the cultivation of oranges, and the farmers use advanced production technologies. That is why the orange peel of Zigui Navel oranges is so thin and bright, while the combination of sweet and sour is just right. The product quality of these oranges is excellent.
"This year's first harvest of Zigui Summer oranges already entered the market. We expect the supply season to continue until the end of August. Many orange production areas suffered from extreme weather conditions this year and the impact was most severe for Chinese blood oranges. The Summer oranges did not suffer much from poor weather conditions. The product quality is stable and there are no problems with the production volume."

"The price of Zigui Summer oranges is almost 50% lower than around this time last year. That is the result of a general dip in the economic environment this year. The sales were not smooth, especially in the period after Chinese Spring Festival [25 January, 2020] when Covid-19 began to spread. The blood oranges suffered the most from poor retail conditions. However, the market conditions were much better for Zigui Summer oranges in comparison with oranges from other production areas. Although production areas in Guangxi, Hunan, and Sichuan all produce small volumes of Summer oranges, only the Summer oranges from Zigui stand out when it comes to flavor and product quality."

"We have diversified our retail channels and sell our oranges both online and through traditional retail channels. We sell our oranges under our own brand name 'Three Gorges Specialty Orange'. Our oranges are available in wholesale markets and supermarkets throughout the country. We primarily package our oranges in plastic crates or cardboard boxes. They are available in different sizes: 2.5 kg, 4.5 kg, 5 kg, and 6 kg."
