"Are customers shying away from fruit and vegetables in bulk?"

Before the corona crisis, the entire fruit and vegetable sector was busy trying to present fruit and vegetables without packaging as much as possible. But has the corona crisis caused some of the customers to shy away from fruit and vegetables when they are unsure whether anyone else has touched them?" asks Hans van Roey of Digi Benelux.

"One option is to still buy in bulk, from the regular supplier and then place some of the fruit and vegetables in the store themselves. To do this, companies do not have to make investments normally reserved only for the large industrial players," says Hans.
