Idai Nature is at the forefront of European innovation in biocontrol

Idai Nature has considerably increased its innovative potential and is currently developing products based on botanical extracts with a biofungicide, biobactericide and bioinsecticide effect.

Many of the research projects carried out at the moment are international in scope. This is the case of the LIFE WASTE4GREEN project, approved by the European Commission, which seeks to demonstrate the effectiveness of two safe, sustainable and ecological formulations of natural origin. The active ingredients of the two formulations will be obtained from agro-industrial waste and will make it possible to replace the chemical pesticides currently in use in stone fruit trees to control pests and diseases.

Idai Nature is also taking part in a new European project: AZMUD, which aims to reduce the use of water, energy, nutrients and pesticides, while promoting the use of wastewater in irrigation for agro-food systems.

These projects, which are backed by the European Union, are giving a boost to Idai Nature's work in the development of innovative, natural products with a low environmental impact, bringing the firm to the forefront of European research and innovation.

At a national level, its R+D+i team is currently taking part in a pioneering research project (VITINNAT), to put an end to the problems of vine wood in a natural way. Furthermore, it has recently completed the GREENPROTECT project, co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and the CDTI, which has served to successfully develop a revolutionary method to convert the waste generated by tomato cultivation into a bioprotection product.

Balanced agriculture
The incorporation of Idai Nature into the Rovensa Group has put this company in a privileged position that will allow it to continually offer growers new products to cover all their needs.

Therefore, the company's commitment is clearly to achieve a more balanced agriculture. The Rovensa Group is at the helm of this project, which aims to feed a growing population with limited resources through a more sustainable agricultural model.
