APM Terminals Callao workers end their protest

The operator of the Port of Callao North Multipurpose Terminal stated that the Single Union of Maritime and Port Workers of the Port of Callao, Sutramporpc, had agreed to end its strike after holding a meeting with the National Port Authority, the Ministry of Transport and Communications, the Ministry of Labor and Employment Promotion, and APM Terminals Callao (APMTC).

The parties signed an act that ratifies, among other things, APMTC's compliance with all its health and labor obligations regarding port workers, which have been verified by the National Superintendence of Labor Inspection (Sunafil) and the Callao Regional Health Directorate (Diresa Callao).

APMTC thanked the efforts of the aforementioned ministries and the National Port Authority.

APMTC also reaffirmed that its priority was to safeguard the health and life of its collaborators, clients, and users while maintaining operations in the terminal and respecting the legal framework established by the Peruvian State.
