Active IT: Reduce transfer risk using state-of-the-art production planning software

"Despite the new requirements of COVID-19 and fewer personnel, we will come out of this crisis quickly"

In times of COVID-19, more and more companies are looking for a solution to adjust and control their technical production facilities (e.g. production lines) with as few manual work processes as possible. This means that scales or price markers, for example, are being done partially or completely without human intervention. Adapted personnel planning and extended hygiene standards must also be implemented.

The daily contact of employees with the control elements or touch screens should be reduced. The focus here is on (partially) automated processes and increased hygiene.

Comprehensive production planning software
Austrian company activeIT offers production planning software that includes comprehensive order and personnel planning through to machine control. The entire machine park, from the scales to the price labelers, can be adjusted to the daily requirements with just a few steps or clicks. Functional adaptations to the individual scales or adjustments to the control terminals are therefore no longer necessary. The risk of transmission by bacteria due to surface contact is thus reduced to a minimum.

CEO Marco Klein and Marketing Manager Gabriel Marek during this year's Fruit Logistica in Berlin. The tailor-made software of the Austrian company is based on years of experience and offers an individual solution for every company.

'Individual planning tool'
Certainly in times of contact minimization, the software proves its strengths. "Of course, hygiene standards were raised and shift schedules were also adjusted, but the individual planning tool of achtiveIT software was the decisive factor," says Roland Wagersreiter from Gemüseerzeugerorganisation Ostösterreich.

The Active IT team. Contactless, fast communication with and among employees is the way to go.

Wagersreiter also adds: "The activeIT software provided us with great support in personnel planning and information, as we were able to communicate requirements and changes in hygiene standards quickly and in all languages to our employees at the terminals. Shifts were also rescheduled in no time at all and our packing lines were set up and equipped as quickly as usual."

The increased demands on hygiene also require complete documentation of product quality and cleaning activities in the production facilities. This is already being documented for activeIT's customers via a mobile app installed on the smartphones or tablets of the employees, becoming available at any time and anywhere for a complete tracking.

Up to 30% increase in production efficiency
Marko Klein, CEO of activeIT: "We are pleased that we can offer our customers an opportunity to react quickly to the changing requirements in these challenging times, supporting them as best we can. We are always available for this and help where we can. Shortly before the crisis, we were able to achieve up to 30% efficiency increases in production for some customers through consulting and the use of our solutions. The aim is to use this increase in efficiency to cushion the impact of the current situation."
