Argentina has made its first ever shipment of peas to China. The Agricultores Federados Argentinos SCL company shipped a container loaded with 24,000 kilos of green peas through the Port of Rosario (TPR) to the Chinese city of Xiamen, as reported by El Litoral newspaper.
"We at TPR we are proud to be part of such a relevant event for the country's foreign trade and we will continue working to provide a quality service capable of adapting to new challenges," the TPR stated. The multipurpose port, the most important one in the Parana-Paraguay waterway, completed the export after several years of negotiations with the public and private sectors.
The Chinese market represents a great opportunity for Argentine legumes, as China is the main consumer of this type of product in the world.
