Kaitlin Wyatt on participation in United Fresh Live!

“We’ll highlight the flexibility of tray sealing and the technology built-in to every Proseal machine”

Founded in 1998, Proseal has been active in the design and manufacture of tray sealing solutions. Their core machinery range features models from compact bench-top equipment, to fully automated, high capacity in-line machines that can seal over 240 packs per minute.

Proseal is part of the JBT Corporation family, a leading global technology solutions provider to high-value segments of the food processing industry, committed to providing a service that surpasses customer expectations.

While this is Proseal’s first year exhibiting at United Fresh, they have been actively participating in the show over previous years, with their tray sealing machinery on display. “The last couple of years we have had such an incredible response to the machinery we’ve demonstrated on some of our suppliers’ booths, that we decided to proceed with our own booth this year and I can imagine United Fresh becoming a permanent fixture on our exhibition list going forward,” says Kaitlin Wyatt of Proseal.

New strategy to work with virtual platform
For engineering businesses like Proseal, it is hugely important to be able to show visitors and potential clients how their machines work. “Our preference is always to have a machinery on our booth as running it during the show allows our customers to see the user-friendly and flexible design of the equipment whilst understanding how efficient the machinery can be, even with such a small footprint they have masses of throughput capacity! People do not always understand the full benefits of Tray Sealing, so we like to be able to show it working at its fullest capacity,” Wyatt shares.

Since the United Fresh exhibition has been switched to a virtual platform to ensure the safety of all the visitors, the company has had to adjust its strategy for this show. Wyatt explains: “We have compiled a selection of great videos for our virtual visitors, of various trays sealing applications, showing different products, packaging materials and packaging processes."

"These videos will also show some current real-life production lines running and showcase some of the reasons why Proseal is a leader in its field. We of course have our expert sales team on hand to answer any questions and provide further information, complemented by the other marketing collateral for visitors to download.”

New developments will be showed
At the upcoming show, Proseal is ready to show some of their new developments and innovations that are built into their machines. At the core of Proseal’s values is innovation, which is demonstrated through its all its machine technology. ProMotion™, a continuous motion infeed system, particularly well suited to the fast-paced produce sector, allows productivity and efficiency to be increased by up to 25%. It features in-time motion monitoring, meaning that the machine can automatically speed up or slow down the pace at which trays are fed, allowing for calm machine operations and reduced downtime.

Many customers have taken advantage of the additional connectivity offered by ProVision™, Proseal’s online OEE and downtime analyzer. This technology enables the Proseal service team to help customers to spot evolving machine problems through key indicators delivered by the software’s analytics. Not only does this provide a prediction of downtime but when the equipment does need attention there is historic data that describes the chain of events prior to a stoppage.

ProVision also allows Proseal engineers to remotely dial into the machine while speaking with the engineers on site in order to directly diagnose faults. This results in minimized disruption to production, with the ambition of saving both the customer’s time and money, avoiding any unnecessary site visits and offering additional peace of mind.

"At the forefront of Proseal’s commitment to more sustainable solutions is Eseal® which offers operators a high precision, high force electrical delivery system that significantly reduces air consumption by up to 92% and increases overall productivity due to a reduced seal time," Wyatt says.

In line with changing consumer demand for more eco-friendly solutions, Proseal offers the technology to seamlessly integrate alternative materials into all their seal functions.

Looking forward to a great show
The company’s participation in trade shows is usually a great exercise in both lead generation and customer relationship building, the shift to a virtual show is a huge but necessary change but Proseal are feeling positive.

“The whole team is really excited to see the kind of connections we can make on this new platform as it will be the first time we have participated in a virtual tradeshow. Hopefully it will be a great success and we will be as busy as we usually are, taking part in online demonstrations and sharing why Proseal and tray sealing is the future of packaging technology!” Wyatt concludes.
